Our Mission

Several grassroots organizations are geared towards raising awareness of social and environmental issues amongst local populations in developing countries. Dissemination of this information requires creative processes that can provide the greatest impact. Greenseeds is an ongoing, volunteer based creative initiative aimed at developing design methods and tools that involve children in creative processes for social issues. In order to provide appropriate resources and tools for effectively involving children in the creative process, a greater understanding of specific social context is formulated through fostering partnerships with existing social awareness organizations in Developing countries. By using creative, immersive methods and tools for informing, educating and raising awareness in children, Greenseeds aims to bring about a change in attitudes and actions at the earliest stage.

Reversal of negative social patterns in the long-term requires involvement of children at the earliest stage. To this end our premise is to engage children in the design process. We believe that by engaging children and empowering their creativity they will develop a better sensitivity towards their surroundings. Through innovative creative exercises Greenseeds places the tools for ideation directly in the hands of children and enables them to express social problems and desired experiences which then go towards designing solutions.
